Both have their many advantages and disadvantages. Jolie Images actually started in our family over 40 years ago as a lab serving only professional photographers. Recently, we realized that we're actually in a prime position to offer all of the advantages of both small and large studios! So we've opened the doors of our lab, up until now only made available to the professional photographers, and invited the consumers in directly. With no outsourcing and low overhead, we are able to bring you all the products and service at the lowest prices around. You can also expect the personal care and attention to detail that's known to come with a family owned and operated business.

Who are your photographers?

As a lab, we served almost every photographer in the Chicagoland area and beyond. Before we made the transition from lab to studio, we asked our valued customers what they thought of our plan. To our surprise, some of the best photographers around were thrilled with the idea and offered to shoot for us! We knew right away which experienced photographers we would be most confident in working for us.

What happens if our photographer can't show up?

Even the most reputable photographer will eventually have events outside his or her control that could cause lateness and even the possibility of a complete no show. Whether it's an illness or transportation trouble, emergencies and accidents do happen. This is life... and we are ready for it. At Jolie Images, you can relax and rest assured that we have backup photographers waiting on call at all times. Do you have backup equipment? We request that all of our photographers bring a back up camera for the rare but possible mishaps that life may bring.

Can my friends take pictures too?

We're familiar with the fact that wedding are prime for photo opportunities. Many people even give disposable cameras to guests as party favors! You will be happy to know that we welcome all picture taking. It is your day to be recorded in anyway that you'd like. Some photographers may request to hold all flashes until they have gotten their formal posed and portrait shots. In this case, flashes can interfere with the picture. Aside from that, all cameras are welcome.

What if I have special instructions for my photographer?

It's very important that you and your photographer both have a clear understanding about what you expect from each other that day. So we will supply you a very thorough Information booklet to fill out. This booklet contains all of the details, big and small, that your and your photographer will need. It will have itinerary details, frequently asked questions, and many helpful hints and tips to get the most of your photographs. The week of your wedding, your photographer will call you with this information in hand to discuss any changes and last minute notes.

What style of photography will be used?

Our photographers are experienced in blending the 3 major styles: Traditional/Classic, Contemporary/Artsy, and Photojournalistic/Candid. If you tend to lean more towards one style in particular, we will be sure to accommodate.

Do I have to "qualify" for my proofs and files?

Absolutely not! When we say VIP service, we mean it. We include all the things listed in our packages with no catches or fine print.

Can you tell me more information about my proofs and online viewing?

Sure thing! There is no limit to the amount of pictures taken that day. All of the pictures taken will be made into a beautiful bound coffee table proof book with a custom designed cover page that will include your names and date. All of your pictures will also be posted online for your guests to view. Because we don't need to outsource the printing or the online posting, you and your guests will receive the benefit of ordering prints at the lowest prices around! Another wonderful service we include is the promotional cards. We will print these custom wallet sized cards on photographic paper to have at your wedding. It will contain all of the login information your guests will need to view your pictures online. No need to collect e-mail addresses at your wedding!
